Children post their name into the post box and find an activity to play.
Free play
9.15-11.30 / 12.45 -3.00
Indoors and outdoors with access to a range of fun and educational activities. Key workers will work with children using individual planning and observations.
Tidy up time
11.30-11.45 / 3.00 - 3.15
Children are encouraged to help tidy the toys away with support from staff.
Group time
11.45-11.55 / 3.15 - 3.25
This can include singing, stories and group games which encourage friendships and confidence. We also look at the phonic sound of the week.
Home time
11.55-12.00 / 3.25 - 3.30
Children put on coats, collect belongings and are handed pictures or letters to take home. We reflect on what the children have enjoyed doing and sing our goodbye song.
Snack time
10.30 - 11.30 / 2.00 - 3.00
We use a ''rolling snack'' at preschool which means that children can come to have snack when they are ready, finishing any activity they are carrying out. All our menus are approved by 'Henry', a healthy eating scheme for children, the local dental nurse and prepared by food hygiene qualified staff. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also on offer. Water or milk is offered to drink.
Lunchtime sessions
12.00 - 12.30
Lunch time sessions are available for children who do morning AND afternoon sessions if required. These are not funded sessions (unless you receive the 30 hours funding) and are charged at £2.50 per session.
Your child will need to bring a packed lunch in a labelled bag.
